    It's the five gallon version.
I believe I got it at Dr. Fosters and Smith.
They are expensive - you could easily take a $7 paint bucket and put an elbow on it. I am just getting old and lazy.

I like the water jug because of the handle on it

Very nice! I also had mine set up the same way (except with glue and silicone instead of a magnet) on my old tank! :)

    Your top-off is low. :hehe:

Nice mod, Matt! Definitely takes a lot of work away from the reef tank...

    Thanks!
My top-off was low. That was for the water test. :) hehe. I filled it this morning and added kalk.

Taking work/stress away is my goal here - also to use gravity more and pumps less. 2 things gravity-fed so far and I am working on a 3rd soon.

    UPDATE -

This float is working great. Water level in sump has not changed - I actually got a bit paranoid about it for a minute inspite of the water drops I saw coming in - until I noticed that the water level is going down in the reservoir. I love this.

Question - The reservoir gets some light from my aquarium lamp - should I be concerned about algae build up or will the the kalk take care of that?

Mine is the same way and has been set up for a few years .... no worries. I drip kalk for 6 months and then just ro/di for 6 months ... kalk or no kalk its never grown any algae so I suspect you will not as well

The pH inside your resevoir is so high that nothing will survive. My 5 gallon jug holds my saturation to fill the one gallon I drip sits in direct sunlight all morning and has never grew anything.

That's what I was thinking. Thank you rm
So happy to be back on the kalk train! I am sure I'll notice a difference on my rocks in a few days.
