Does anyone have experience with this skimmer? I am planning to set up a 72 gallon reef tank.

Yep, I had one just recently, what do you need to know?

Is there a reason you had one? Would you recommend it or should I be looking at the Aqua C or Euro-Reef models?

I really can't help you with comparisons, I bought the Nautilus a few years back as it was the best skimmer going around where I live. I was very happy with it.

Wait for a little while as there are a lot of people on this board that have had experience with the AQUA C and Euro-Reef models who will be able to help.

They are OK skimmer in my opinion for what I have seen, but not what I would spend my money on. I wasn't real impressed by what they seemed to pull out on a few tanks I have seen around here. I would spend the extra say 60 or so and get a Euro-Reef ES5-3. They are a more money but I can say for sure you will not be wanting to replace this skimmer with something better in 6 months :)

Looks like it will be between the Euro-Reef ES5-3 and Aqua C EV-120. Locally, the EV-120 is about 15% more expensive. Is it worth it?

Is it 15% more before or after you add a pump to the AquaC? When it comes to this match up I prefer the Euro-Reef

The price for the EV-120 includes a Mag 500.
