Kenya tree/colt not looking good

here is a pic of what he is looking like now.... it doesnt look good:




Also... tested my param's tonight and its not my Ammonia that is high, it is my Nitrates that are VERY high.... 80 ppm!! How bad is this?

Here is another photo of something that I thought may be contributing to all of this... its a photo of a lot of "garbage" on my sand... little black specs, etc.
