I was at the lfs today, and as budget is a concern, I bought two small kenya tree frags. They are just a small pieces on plugs that I bought for 10 dollars each. When I bought frags because I am willing to wait and be patient, but how long will it be before the start to look like kenya trees.

On a side note I think buying frags is cheaper and its more fun to watch them grow.

Oh yeah. +1 bigtime. I try to buy small and watch them grow. Fish and corals both. It give me more an appreciation for what is in the tank if I actually cultivate it with good husbandry. Anyone can buy a full blown coral. It takes time, patience and work to get the frags full grown.

And buying frags helps the already stressed reefs of the world. That, in and of itself, is reason enough.
