Kenya tree leaching toxins???

    Kenya's like all leathers need moderate flow to help them shed.Mine close from time to time and usually blowing them off with a turkey baster helps them recover I have since moved them into a higher flow area and they seem to always look really good.;) Your Alk. may be a little high for them as well.I would suggest a Mag. test kit as well to make sure parameters are not swinging wildly.

    well i do have to power heads which were pretty old and i just got in a hydor koralia 1050 and have another on the way. I defiantly like the bit of random current i puts out.

    I too have some Flourishing KT's! A while back, I would get concerned when some or all of it would close for days it seemed.
    Now, as said, fish nips, their mood, etc. will get them to close, at random.

    They overall thrive, so I don't worry about it.
    I'd say, keep doing what you're doing, and
    'Furgeat a 'bout idt'! ;-)

    KT's are really very hardy
