Hey guys sorry if this topic has already been covered but I have been doing research for about 2 weeks now and all the info is started to run together. I have 3 light fixtures that are on my mind to buy. I have a 120 (48x24x24). From the readers h I have done I either want the kessil 360w, maxspect razor r420r(20 inch), or the AI vega. And yes I do know that I will need at least two of whatever I get over my tank. I guess my question is which light sets themselves apart from the others and why?? Is the extra $100 for the AI worth it?? Will I get enough good coverage with two AI's over the tank? I have seen the kessil and maxspect at a local LFS, they have the AI for sale there but just don't have one over a tank. I just really need some good info to push me in one direction to pull the trigger! Thanks for the input guys!!

One of my LFS has a 30+ inch deep, 200 ish gallon LPS/SPS tank running on two AI Sol and its been doing great for a year. The Vega should be even better. I'm not an LED fan over all, but I had the Vegas and that's where I'd probably go. My wife had the Kessil. They make sweet lights too, but I curiously prefer their older non-controlled models.

Have 3 Razors over 135 which have been in place for several months. Have had very good growth including a Durasa and Maxima who both reside on the bottom of the tank a full 27 inches below lights. Have not lost anything and in some cases will have to start a pruning regimen.

Very interested to hear some input on the AI Vega. 1.0reef thanks for the input but would like to know why the razor over the other two? Razor is not much cheaper than the Vega and has alot less feature and just really curious though if all those added features on the Vega are worth the extra money and if it actually is beneifical to the growth of the coral or just something that is cool to me to look at ie. Thunderstorms and weather patterns.

Vegas use older leds with a slightly worse spectrum, or customize it for way to much. Razor doesn't have insane controllability, though. Thunderstorms are for you, not for corals. Kessils aren't as good in spectrum or controllability, but are cheaper.
