265G (305G total) With 5 tangs currently. Should I get an Achilles as 6th and final?

    Ok tank is up and running...i do have one issue tho...the little giant pump is VERY loud...even in a separate room its noisy...sooo I need some recommendations on a QUIETER pump....This one is a 1300gph one i believe so, I need one that big...Please lemme hear some suggestions...remember I want QUIET, and has to be in-line

    The Mag Drives are supposed to be really good pumps. Quiet work horses. :) I will be getting the MD 7, but the MD 18 should be great for your tank. It's like 1800GPH...a bit much, but you could always turn it down. The MD 12 is 1100GPH.

    mag drives arent in-line pumps tho...they are submersables

    Boy do i feel like a dummy...lol...further inspection of the loud situation revealed that my holes in the wall werent big enough and the vibration of the water thru the pipe on the wall is what was causing the "loud pump"....lesson learned...lol

    Also just as an update...i have stripped the stand and the canopy...going to stain it...but I think I am going to stain it the color of our dining room table (once we get a new one) instead of the color of the cabinets...My wife likes dark wood tables...sooooo....lol

    Waiting sucks...lol I wish there was a way to cycle a tank over-night!! one week just about down tho!

    took this advice and switched out 2 of the blue plus for 2 purple plus...(well one and one is on order now)...what a difference!...thanks for the suggestion 2in10

    but are ideally submersable...especially if ur fuge is drilled for 1" bulkhead..
