LOL, take when it does while preparing for the worse. I think the large water volume is a major plus.

 

I am going to bring over some rock from the other reef tomorrow with some more corals on it (provided my water chemistry is stable tomorrow)...probably some zoanthids and some shrooms..the easy softies for now...then we'll go from there...moving rocks and corals slowly, over 2 weeks or so...and then i'll start moving some fish over, 2 at a time or so

 

I think you can move the rocks and corals pretty quickly since you are maintaining the other system. I think holding off moving the fish is a good idea.

I moved all of my rock and fish from my 26 to my 75 on the same day I set it up. No nitrogen cycle because there was no change to the bio mass. No loses. I did get a nuisance algae growth but that may have been due to increased feeding.

 

Yeh, gotta get the nitrates under control before I bring my harder corals over tho...a 55G water change will probably do the trick

 

Definitely should. Looks like you should have it put together quite quickly.

 

crossing my fingers...it would be ideal if i had 0 losses....but i am prepared for at least a few..

 

I think it is a good idea, you never know how the coral will react.

I just cant wait till the rest of my reef is in my new house, its amazing how much u miss those little critters when they arent around!!!
