lol Thanks for taking the time to read the whole thread :) I tried to make it as detailed as i could, so that i could help others when coming into the hobby. I'm not gonna lie, thoughts of "my next tank" have entered my mind, but not for a looooong time is that going to happen. But I have a feeling if my wife and i ever decide to sell this house...the tank will be staying, and I will be upgrading to a 500g+....but that is waaaay far away. I'm pretty happy with 265 (305g total) right now lol

I have always been a huge fan of AquaC products (always been my first choice). Staying true to the company that has helped me have success in this hobby, I just bought the AquaC RX1 Calcium Reactor package, that comes with everything I need (co2 tank, regulator, bubble counter, pump, media..etc.)...I know Steve @ AquaC has never let me down, so I hope this reactor is as good as their skimmers! This will make my maintenance even easier as I will not have to dose calcium into my top off water anymore :) I see a float valve on my top off in the near future, then I wont have to drag my top off container over to my RODI Unit anymore to make water :)

Well, if anyone is like me, adding reef frags on plugs can be a real pain, super gluing the frags (and sometimes that doesnt even work), trying to find the right size hole in the live rock for the plug to fit...well i have found my solution to this problem...dead coral!..lol I found a HUGE piece of dead coral and I have broken about half of it into peices that i put in my tank, and the old skeleton allows me to put my plugs in, and it holds em VERY tight...they are super white right now, but in a week or two they will start to turn and will be the color of the rest of the tank. As a bonus, the skeletal growth seems to camoflauge the plug too, making it look more natural to a person glancing at the tank....also the pics include pics of my new encrusting monti's and my new torch coral.. :)

    Reactor Up and Running!

The aquaC calcium reactor is now hooked up and running :) it was SO easy to set up! I hardly had to do anything to it! looks like aquaC has done it again! Now to give it a few weeks/month or so to see how its keeping up with my needs
