Why do you do so many water changes? There are so many points of view on this, I just try to take it all in lol.

Because i have a lot of bioload with 6 tangs and numerous other fish...yes i have a huge skimmer that gets a lot out...but...i just kinda see it like taking the trash out once a week....SPS LOVE LOVE LOVE clean water...so the cleaner the water, the happier the coral...the happier the coral the happier i am looking at the coral..lol...plus it helps replenish nutrients that get used up by the corals...i have a calcium reactor, but it doesnt put back in the vitamins and stuff that the salt has in it

Sounds good to me. I only have softies, and they thrive with less water changes lol. They always do better when I'm away from home lol.

Works like a champ...corals are going crazy under it...lol So much so that i've actually contemplated ordering 2 more to go over my tank to REALLY have a LOT of light over everything...contemplating being the key word tho...and i gotta see if i could even fit 2 more on my canopy..lol
