Well got the sand and SOME water in this thing now...I'm hoping to have it full by the end of the week.. I am however worried about my return...the little holes in the PVC that break the siphon during a power failure spray A LOT! I sure hope once its completely full and running that it stops it because it hits the front of the overflow box and sprays everywhere....any suggestions??

As far as the ro goes. Just because the membrane says it's a 50gpd membrane doesn't meen it will make 50gpd. They are rated at optimum performance (psi, flow, water temp, tds of water before it enter the membrane), these all have an effect. Have you checked the tds of the good water? If its larger than half of the the tds going in than you need a new membrane. If its less than half than you can do a membrane flush. That will help. If tds is really low then your membrane is probably working fine just not a fast as you thought it would. They will sometimes use the hotest water they can at the highest pressure they can before the membrane breaks to rate gpd, without worrying about the quality of water that is produced. You can even take out all the filters and flush the system to remove any build up in the lines. Then flush with bleach to kill any bacteria that can also slow down pressure. Hope that helps. Great job on the build!

I would hide the bat so that you don't unleash the fury when your aquascaping doesn't go exactly how you want it to.

    Great build so far.
