So I bought a keyhole angel & hoeven's wrasse about a week ago.... well everything was fine then I woke up & my Harlequin shrimp was dead.. :(
I saw the wrasse was swimming closely when first put it in the tank... nowhere did it say they couldn't get along... I just don't what happened! So now my keyhole angel has very little spots on his fins it kinda looks like ich but I'm not sure? Not breathing heavy & eating great.... very active... not sure if something is needing done...all suggestions & input welcomed..thank you.. it won't let me take pic..lol Sry..

Any of the wrasse from that genus are opportunistic shrimp feeders. As for your angel it probably is ick. Just feed alot, and soak the food in a vitamin supplement like selcon or others and he should beat it.

OK thank you... my go to pet store for all my saltwater needs is pretty good about answering my questions on livestock & same guy sold me both the shrimp(over 4 months ago) & wrasse(last week)... I even asked if it was cool...he said oh yeah no problem @ all...Ughh!

Alot of times it IS ok if the shrimp was added first. I have a melarunus and I thought for sure he got my new cleaner shrimp but he just hid for a few weeks.
