Welcome to the wonderful world of the internet! Full of so much fun and information, it can be overwhelming at first, let alone now that you have decided to participate! But wait, before you do, lets go over a few things to help. I have compiled a list on the main keys you need to know before making successful a post on "the web":

    1. CAPS LOCK: Yes, your search engine still works with that on, but lets remember you are now talking to people, not a machine. But are you talking? Or are you yelling? We are not sure, and that's the problem. I clicked on your post to help, offer advice, or maybe even just a witty reply, but no one wants to give any of those if they are being yelled at. And, in today's time, I know for a fact you are not Billy Mays, so please, stop yelling at me. I am a semi-nice person, I promise.

    2. Spelling: Everyone misses a word or two here and there. Hey, it happens, and I am not going to pull an English professor on you and nit pick your post to death. But please, lets try to keep it to one or two a post. Most browsers and sites even have a spell check built in. See that word with the red squiggly line underneath it? That means you got it wrong. Does your whole post have red squiggly lines? Well, that means complete fail.

    3. Abbreviating words and/or substituting letters with numbers: Similar to number two, with slight differences. Remember, "B4" is a vitamin, or even an android on Star Trek, but not the word "before". This is not a text you are sneaking to your crush during geology class, there is no time limit, nor is the post limited to 160 characters. I have tried, even out loud, to sound out "ur", but I still do not think that's an actual English word. Slowing down, taking your time, and describing what you're trying to convey will reward you greatly.

    4. Pics are always welcomed: Yes they are! Trying to describe what you need over "the web" just does not work, even if you are moving your arms and hands while doing so. Post a pic, we will love you for it! Even if it is an awful pic of you falling horridly short of your goal, it can still be edited and uploaded to FailBlog, and provide many people hours of giddy enjoyment. So whip out that old digital you got, and put it to use!

    And, last but not least:
    Have fun on teh intawebz!

    omg i lold like 4ever.

Not really, but I still found it funny :D I hate it when people talk in all caps. Some have a valid excuse, because their vision does not allow them to see lower case as well. However, when someone thinks that you are yelling at them, it is wise to lowercase you words, even if they are more difficult to see. Frankly I care more about you not yelling at me, than I care about your vision comfort level when yelling at me.

Ah, but vision is not an excuse! See, right above were you post, you can pick a different font size! ;)

Like right now. Words are much bigger and can easily be seen without the bifocals that Muffin, your 17 year old lap dog, may have taken off your nightstand since you can no longer find them. Yet, it does not seem like I am yelling ;)
