    I got behind on some maintiance and KH is really low how slowly do I need to bring this up so I dont hurt any of my livestock. Thanks for the help

    The speed you raise your alk is not an issue form what I have read. It is when adding your supplement to make sure it doesn't raise your pH to quickly. Here is a good link on how to raise your alk.

    what is your pH, Mag, and Calcium levels?
    What type of tank do you keep? Reef, FOWLR? I keep my FOWLR at that level, but not reef tank.
    Depending on the other levels you may have to adjust more then just the kH. I used Borax once to raise my reef when it got to 6 and it did well

    I have a reef tank and calcium 430,magnesium 1140, phosphate 0, Iodine 0, strontium3,PH 8.4
    I am using Saliferts KH buffer + ph buffer I just wanted to check to see if raising kh up to fast would cause any problems

    I added iodine, mag. and strontium since the levels are low.
