It is a dry heat, yeah right !
I would first double check that result against another type of test kit or at the LFS. I doubt that value accuracy, I would also like to see a mag level. If your fish and corals look fine there is no need to intervene until you have double checked the test with a better test kit.

    Thanks Corailline.
I used test strips a couple days earlier which read high also, so went and got test kit just for Kh/Gh. Every thing looks fairly good, fish are eating , the little coral that's there seems good, its just the Foxface fishes color looks somewhat stressed at times( dark shaded) . Thanks again I'll wait and see

I agree with corailline. You really need to have good test kits if you want to know what's really going on. Are you adding any chemicals?

Do you have a fish store that will test it for you?

IMO The API kits are not always correct. Use salifert or a Hanna instruments checker.
19 seems wayyyy too high to seem plausible.
    Are you dosing anything?

API kH test ktis dont read on a chart its a drip by drip measurement with no min or max so I am a little confused here.

As far as accuracy many API kits are inaccurate, however the kH and CA kits always proved very accurate to me as I have checked them agaisnt RedSea on many accounts. I use APi for quick readings and RedSea or Salifert for monthly testing. The ammonia and phosphate API test are useles though IMHO.

How old is your tank? My first reef ran very high kH when first set up but it eventually came down to normal and then I eventually had to start dosing.
