API test kit was purchased and the KH was 1 or less acording to the kit calcium was between 520-560
    salinity was 1.024
    ammonia-0
    ph-7.8-8.0
    nitrate-0
    nitrite-0
    phospate-0 ;D

I have seen no ill efects thus far but have been using brightwell powdered pro-buffer yesterday and today and seem no gain in the lvl  so what do I do now?

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
Are these the strips? Did you retest again? I have found them the strips to be unreliable.

Personally with your tank if that is indeed the value I would do a water change rather than adding more buffer. I would also test the made up replacements water for Ca, alk and magnesium. This is where I would start.

    Good luck

Get a mag test kit if you are going to keep SPS. Keep your Ca at 380 to 450, that will keep your alk up better. The mag at 1250 to 1400 will keep alk and Ca more steady.

Salifert or Seachem seem to be some of the better kits.
