To answer you question though, yes my mantis is kept with fish. In fact both of my mantis (my peacock, and a N.Wennerae) are kept with fish. The only reason I moved the n.w. out was because I was bit enough by the addiction to get the peacock. The n.w. now resides in the fuge portion of my sump with a longspine urchin and a damsel that was close to getting mean. They arent the death machines people think in some cases if they are kept fed. Please not I said in some cases and yes to an extent I am lucky and others havent had the same luck. Well fed can make the difference for alot of stuff in this hobby fish though, like my coral beauty for example has never nipped at coral or zoa one.

 

Haha that's awesome! Mantises are my dream inverts...but my parents share the "killing machine" viewpoint which they believe will extend to my hands and fingers too...they think I'll keep my hand close enough to be sliced...
