Kick-butt Clown Dilema

I have a delima. I have a 90 gallon setup with a variety of coral and 2 - 2"Ocellaris Clowns (male & female). The male is HIGHLY aggressive, the female a close second. If I even "think" about putting my hand in the tank he is on it in a second. He has a pretty good bite for a little guy too. He can draw blood, trust me.

My dilema is I have recently introduced (2 days ago) a 4" Yellow eye tang and a 4 " Tennenti tang. Have I mentioned the male Clown is highly aggressive! He will not let the much bigger Tangs out of the back of the tank. If either even thinks about it, he chases them away. I can take the pain! I'm getting used to the 'hits", but I wouldn't mind seeing the $80 bucks of fish I just bought! My wife wants "the Nemo's" to take the big swim down the porcelain bowl!

 

well...you can try maybe getting them an anemone if your lighting allows...at least this way (for me) they will be more busy protecting their small house than the whole tank...thats just my expirence...for my guys if another fish comes 2 close they will get a little agressive...but not to the extent of yours...hope this helps

 

Are you planning an anemone for the clowns? He'll leave them alone sooner or later. Give him a couple of weeks.

 

I have a big Flower Pot Coral that he (owns), lives in. He's being very territorial over that. I'm hoping they will work things out.
