Anybody ever use is. I have a powder blue I cant catch that has ick bad and my hippo has it too. I am trying all the things I have always dont with no trouble and nothing is healing them. Its not getting worse but its not getting better fish are swimming and eating normally but Its been over a week since the white plague. I turned the heat up turned the lights down and still getting annoyed at this stuff! I am thinking about trying this since I have had all I can do to catch them. even tried a fish trap.

I'm generally against treating in your DT because ICH cures contain copper which kills inverts. if you MUST treat it, build a QT tank and treat with copper according to label directions, then drain and refill the QT.

Have you been fortifying the food with garlic?
what are your params? (salinity especially)
have you considered a cleaner shrimp or wrasse?

My paramiters are all good the salinity is 1.023. I have a cleaner shrimp. Ordered a cleaner wrasse. Kick ick does not contain copper and stated it is coral friendly. I have a quarinteen tank and the problem is I cant catch them I have a fish trap and I cannot get them. I just dont want it to get worse and not be able to do anything about it.

I think that's a fair concern, so my answer would be, no I havn't used that particular product (or any ICH cure) in a DT. Let me know how it goes.

Nothing wories me more then putting any chemical into my dt. Lots of money in corals and a very lot in fish.

I used the stuff and it didn't work. What got rid of my ick was turning off the lights, and keeping the params the same, not lowering SG, not messing with the temps. I just fed my tang good veggies (lettuce and brocolli) soaked in garlic and it went away in 2 weeks.

I went through the ick about a 2 months agao. Powder Brown started the snowball, then the sailfin, the yellow and a clown. Tried fresh water dip and Melafix but the Powder Brown lost the battle after a couple weeks and so did the clown(that surprised me). I ended up doing the same thing as Tigermike at about week 3 of the crap. I ran my lights about 2 hours a day, and kept everything else the same. Also have a cleaner wrasse and shrimp. After a couple weeks they really started to recover and are looking good at this time.
