    They are called epitokes and are the spawn of bristle worms.

    I have seen a couple in my tank. I really hate bristle worms

    When ever I see these I net and flush em. If you have a six line wrasse he'll do it for you. Almost al of us have bristleworms and they really aren't bad, but population control is a wise idea. Willing to bet my life you can't get rid of them completly once you have them, without being drastic.

    I've pulled about 20 out within the last 2 days :) How you ask? A glass jar with a lid, cut a small diamond shaped hole in the lid added some freeze dried Krill (strongest smelling) and taaaa daaaa!!! The worms flocked to it like crazy :)

    I don't want to remove them all...just portion control~lol
