Man this sucks... as I posted on another thread yesterday my wife called me at work saying that our Foxface was stuck to the Maxijet mod. I told her how to turn it off so she did and he swam away. Keep in mind I put the big impeller on the mod a coulpe weeks ago and he got sucked to it, but I caught it quick and freed him and he had been healthy since. I changed back to the medium impeller and everything was good.
Well after that she called and said he was stuck behind a rock. I thought he was dead and she couldn't get him out so when I got home I moved the rock and he swam away. Well he got stuck to the MJ every time I turned it on (5 times throughout the evening). He would sit on the sandbed sideways but was still barely breathing. Before I went to bed I went to put him out of his misery but couldn't. 5 min. later he was against the MJ again. I went ahead and took him out, it seemed like the right thing. This was a lot harder than what I thought it would be and I'm bummed, but I felt I did the right thing. Sorry this was so long... I just had to vent.

I hate that maxi-jet mod. I had a tang get stuck to it also! Then later another smaller fish got sucked into it. My store stated that they had never heard of larger fish getting sucked into it but I knew that they did!

Then after you have the mod for a couple months it just vibrates horribly. I have mine out of there and went ahead and spent the extra money on a Koralia Mag 8

    sorry for your loss.

My foxface got stuck to a quietone1200 that I was using as a powerhead, not a good idea.

One night I got up for some reason to look at the tank in the dark and noticed him stuck to it, when I turned off the pump he fell off, I swished some water to get him to move and he barely swam over to a rock and laid on his side, he was pale and lifeless. My man was trying to convince me he was going to die overnight. Got up in the morning he was swimming a little funny still but by the end of that day he swam around like nothing ever happened. I battled ich with him for about a month after that near death experience but he's fine now!

Sorry for your loss!! k+ for your and his/her stress!

I didn't mean to make you feel bad and question your decision to put him out of his misery. :(

I doubt he will pull through, he slept in the trash can or took a ride on the porcelin express last night.
