I won the fight over GHA about a month ago. I know what your thinking, awsome! Nope, not completely awsome. With all the algae dieing off all the phosates it picked up was now realsed back into the water [ long story short, had an RO filter issue which lead to adding alot of inorganic PO4 into the system] And seeing how most LPS dont like PO4, one open brain died, all my candy canes are gone, and almost lost my assuie war paint and another open brain. The best part is my PO4 test a 0 so its inogranic PO4 that i cant test for. unless anyone knows how?...? I guess that these PO4 slowly leach out, so now I get to wait to wait it out before i get my brains back....haha

Do lots of small water changes, like at least 5 percent a week for a while to keep this in check. This will ensure that they PO4 doesn't get out of control. That really sucks though. Is there any living tissue of any of these corals left? If so, frag it and see if a fellow hobbyist or an LFS would give them an interim home until things stabilize in your tank.

I suggest you add a phosphate reactor and run Pura Phoslock.

i have been doing more then 5% the problem is that they are in the Ca carbonate, so even 100% change would leave me with high PO4. it needs to leach its self out...:-/ and i got the brains into a buddies tank and they are doing great. all the other corals dont seem to be affected as much

fuge is as old as the tank. i have heard that mangrove dont help as much as everyone thinks. but i have been thinking of those anyways

you like Phoslock better then PhosBan?
