Broke down my tank today and I have set my live rock out side to kill it off and start over. Dang pests. Any way rain is in the forecast all day tomorrow. can't put it under the covered porch as the only one is in the front of the house and the wife says no way. Will the rain hurt it or should I not worry about it?

do you live in a populated area? maybe pollution in it.
also have you though about boiling its faster. just don't use your wifes pots, or atleast tell her your using them lol. sorry im a bad influence
but you could try putting the rock in a rubbermaid and pouring boiling water on them.

If you are trying to kill of problems I could cook it or soak it in bleach as it is the only way to be safe that your not going to add problems back into your tank

    3 days 50/50 bleach
    3 days fresh water soak
    Rinse
3 days of Baking Soda (2 to 4 lbs) and RO/DI water
Then let dry in the sun if possible for 2 weeks. Make sure you turn the rock every day to keep water out of holes.
