I painted my kitchen about 3 month's ago and did nothing to tank. My tank is about 3 foot from one side of the kitchen. I did run my exhaust fan on range hood and cracked a window for ventilation.

I painted my Concrete floors in my sump room. Sump is open and have a grow out tank in there. Left the doors open with fans on and had no issues.

^^^ the queen of procrastination - lol yes, we went a whole year without cabinet doors - so glad my hubby is an understanding man - it really is going to look so much nicer being done by a professional since so many people said that spraying them is the way to go. I got the advice of the pros on the color - going with a very light gray. I'll post pics when everything is done - it's going to look so much lighter in that room, it's a pretty dark room in terms of not a lot of natural light.

Why do something today when you can just put if off until tomorrow? That's what I say.

    That was funny Matt!

    And Mindy,
With all due respect, what will a blanket do? Pad the top of the tank?
It won't do anything for gas exchange to the air the tank sees/gets.

    Great advice from professionals here
