It comes apart so you can clean it. Probably something got lodged in there.

 

You can pull the top plate and check the servo gears also ? But like with anything in a marine tank if it moves it will stop thats why I cringe when I hear talk of I use check valves so I'm safe there

 

I hope it is in fact something jammed in there. I spoke with Ocean's Motions and the design of the motor has changed. He did mention the gears on the older super squirts are not accesable. Worst case scenario I'm going to have to buy a new motor for it. One more thing to add to the list of upgrades and other costs in setting the 180 back up. But hey if you want a cheap hobby play frisbee...

 

I have a few old servos around the shop somewhere I have worked on one to change the gear ratio to slow the cycle up a good bit almost in half works a lot better . They just cycle to fast for me . But I know we have several servos .

 

Thanks for the offer tangster but I've already ordered the new and improved version from Ocean's Motions. I can't tell you how good their customer service is. Very helpful and full of know how.

 

I can slow the new one down for you They are rather fast even a bit faster then the older one where I thin like a 30 or 45 second full cycle ): The old one was close to a minuet

Well I haven't gotten the new one in yet but I might take you up on that offer.

I've told bmshehan to come to the house and get some of these corals out of my tank. I did a water change last week and the algae literally exploded. It's everywhere now. My fromia has started to lose two of it's legs. I'm thinking I'm missing something in my RO water. I've got a phospahte reactor running with enough media for 1000 gallons and it's not even making a dent.

I wish Otty would make me a decent offer on my two clams, my bubble coral, and my big cup coral... that way I could just QT my fish.

On a sadder note I found out last Thursday that my step dad has cancer. We're not going to know more until at least this Friday and possibly next week. Please keep him in your prayers.

 

Just holler I'll get one out for you asap and man sorry to hear about your father.. Hope its a good kind if there is a good kind ? One that is more treatable then others . I'll put a few words in for him . They worked for me I know they did I'm still here to the delight of some and the Dismay to many others Just not as many Good luck with it all buddy .
