I was wondering the same. Let me know when you want to go buy more, I might be down for a few more. Still only halfway to Roger's suggested 3-5 per gallon!!

Well Scott I added that Epsom salt last night but fell asleep on the couch watching TV and forgot to check the levels before I went to bed. I'll do that tonight and dose accordingly. ;D
Man one thing I did notice this morning is my pH was up from 8.05 to 8.15 and my ORP was up to 380 from 330. Hopefully it has to do with the chemistry being more in balance.

A little over a week and the halides come on, a couple corals go in, and the mandarin goes into the display. He's getting really skinny. Hope he can hold on another week. There are a ton of pods in the 180 but he's cleaned out the QT...

Your adding corals already? It just seems early, what if you have another algae bloom and it starts smothering the corals? I'm just curious & wondering, I'll hang up and listen to your answer;D;). If you order anything let me know, who knows what I might pick up also!

Corals are not a bio load on the tank so it should be ok to mover them over if he has his parameters rock solid. If not then I would wait and get that taken care of first.

yea according to Rog's schedule week 12 is the time to start adding one fish every two or so weeks and corals... I'm not going to add all of the coral at once. No sense with fish still being in the QT. I would like to get my bubble coral in the display though for better flow reasons.

The Epsom salt worked out great. Calcium came down a little bit as mg went up but calcium was close to 500 anyhow so it's all good. I'm going to test tonight after the family leaves and dose some more Epsom salt if needed. A little over a week.... :sunny:

Sounds like a win-win! The fam is there?? How much flow do you have in the display? My flow is proving to be a b!*($ while I am trying to get the corals Scott dropped by to attach to rocks, they keep getting blown off, driving me nuts! You need to stop by and see how the tank is, I can notice a day-to-day change as the last load of snails are doing a great job cleaning things up. Hopefully they keep up the good work!!

With head pressure figured in I'm running about 18 to 20 times turn over per hour. I don't know if this new set up will be a full blown SPS tank like Scott's is. I don't want to upgrade the pumps to get to 30X turn over rate.

Besides, i like some of the LPS corals out there. I like my bubble and my cup coral... ;D
