Roger told me Epsom salt is great... no problem in dosing it at all. I would stick with it, not all of us have Honda money!! To confirm your question/theory Kris, I always dose in a cup of RO/DI water, stir it and let it dissolve then dump it in. With the epsom salt I find that I can add about 1/2 cup to a large glass (maybe 24 oz?) and mix it up and it will dissolve. If I try to mix more than that in a glass it takes FOREVER to dissolve! Just what has worked for me... 3 lbs of epsom salt for a couple bucks fits my budget perfectly!

Yea I'm going to have to dose a cup or so tonight so I'll try dissolving it in RO/DI water first.

I took Amcarrig's advice and pulled some of the orange zoa's off of the rock they were on, (the rock with the bryopsis on it) left them in QT for a couple days unattached, rinsed them in fresh water last night, and rubber banded them to a fresh piece of base rock. I then placed them in the display. They opened up good by the end of the evening. I only got about 10 polyps but it's ok. I think originally I only had 25 and now I've still got 200 or so polyps in the QT tank.

If I had some experience shipping frags I'd offer them up for sale. they really are some good looking zoas...

Thanks for the complement baugherb!!! ;D;D;D

It's really coming along nicely. Only problem I'm having is some pesky hair algae growing in the sand bed of all places. I need to get my po4 reactor fired up and sucking the phosphates out of there!

I got tired of waiting on the Naso tang to do his job so I fired up the phosphate reactor the other night. I can already see the algea bloom going away after just a couple of days.

I'm at the point where I need to add some more clean up crew and another fish. I'm thinking about a foxface or a lawnmower blenny. Can't decide.

Lawnmower would be a great addition. Planned on going to INDMAS meeting saturday and stop at Premium Aquatics on the way.
