I gave up on him a long time ago. He's back in his house and has made no attempt at setting his tank back up. Guess he's waiting for someone to come do it for him. :-/ That guy ain't going to be me. Scott has the rock that was in the QT tank. I wanted to give him a good one that was about the same size of that green star polyp rock he gave me. ;D

The only thing left of Jimmy's is the blue damsel. I'd put him in my tank but I really don't like damsels. Don't do anything and aren't visually attractive. :freak3:

I'd roll him up with some rice and seaweed if he were a little fatter. ;D

I actually took him to PetCo. Believe it or not they wouldn't take him. Said they couldn't put my fish in with their fish. WTH? I was walking around carrying this fish and saw two little girls saying they wanted a damsel. Told them I'd give them one for free and snuck out of the store before their parents could track me down. :sneaky:

Scott and I went to a few places Friday and I picked up a Fox Face, Lawnmower blenny, and a pink and blue spotted shrimp goby. Also got a red serpent star. He's hiding under the rocks. I doubt I'll see him much. They're pretty nocturnal.

Well with a UV Sterilizer on the way and an extra reactor sitting around without a pump I decided it was time to build a manifold so I could run many things off of one pump.

A little history: I already had a maxijet 1200 in the sump running my phosphate reator and this did a great job and it probably would have ran one other small reactor but if I ever needed anything else I would need an additional pump.

I decided to take the Mag 7 out of the QT tank since it was too much for a 30 gallon tank and use it to run a manifold. I would then put the maxijet in the QT tank.

So I went to Lowes and bought all of the pieces I would need to build myself a manifold. I knew I needed to run 3 items but wanted to keep the possibility open of adding additional items later. I started by taking 4 3/4 inch T fittings and gluing them together...

The next step was to add the ball valves so water flow could be controlled or shut off if needed. I also added one at the "end" of the manifold so I could expand it later if needed.

After adding the ball valves I then needed to reduce standard 3/4 down to the fittings that the reactors would use. I knew I needed two 1/2 inch barbed fittings for the phosphate reactor and carbon reactor. I also knew the UV Sterilizer would need a 3/4 barb fitting. That left me with one open slot for exapnsion later. I just capped this slot off.

With the manifold complete, all I needed to do was mount it, plumb it to the pump, and hook up the reactors. I ended up with about $60 in materials and about 2 hours time in this thing. All in all, it was an easy project if you know how to work with PVC. Now I can run all of my "accessory" equipment off of one pump!!! ;D
