    Hey All,

I am looking to get a Kole Tang for my 120 Reef. I currently have 6 green chromis, 1 small Regal (hippo) tang, a lawnmower blenny, and a Royal Gramma.

My understanding of the Kole Tang is that they are pretty passive, and should not cause any problems in the tank. Would you all agree with that? Anyone have any experience with them?

I like that yellow tangs are grazers. But they tend to be a little aggressive. I hear that Kole tangs are equally as good at grazing, but no where near as aggressive.

I am also thinking of a flame angelfish. Are they reef safe? I know in general angels are not but some are better then others. Anyone have any experience with these fish? Reef safe? Aggressive?

    Thanks

Kole tang is a great choice and definitely more docile than a yellow. Dwarf angels can be aggressive towards each other but not so much to other fish. As for being reef safe, it's a crap shoot. Some do and some don't eat corals so you take your chances.

I was thinking about getting a flame angel. From what I gather most people don't have any problems at all.. but there are a few that are nippers at clams and LPS.

kole tang - very docile, laid back, and great grazer.
