Im actually thinking about the same combination in my 120 long. They are readily available here and from what Ive heard the kole tang is a great algae muncher. Dont me to highjack but would a kole and a sailfin tang be good together as well?

From reading here, they (Kole and sailfin) are 2 different species so they would be compatible, though your 120 will be 2 small for the Sailfin.

I figured they would be good but I always double and triple check with fish compatibility. lol Well this tank is six feet long. So Im sure he would have plenty of swimming space which is the main concern with larger tangs. Either way Id get a very small sailfin and it would be going into a larger longer tank as it matures. Good call on the kole though. I dont often see them around but they are beautiful and personable fish.

sailfin tangs get 1 1\2 feet tall. too big. place the kole and yellow tangs in the tank at the same time to reduce aggression.

I guess I haven't read that a foxface and a tang cannot be housed together. I have a one spot foxfaceand a blue tang in my tank with no issues.

nice..Vinny as well as google searching recommended not to house the two together though you are proving them wrong to a degree (could be the species that you have as to why they are compatible..nto to familar with the blue tang so I cant comment on it.)

I just make sure there is plenty of nori available and that they are well fed. I think they compete for the same food source and that causes tension.

They swim together most of the time and gang up on my wrasse (whipping boy of the tank, good thing he outruns everything easily).

I got the tang when it was 3/4" long so that may help. Now that I know they may have issues I will keep a close eye on them tho.
