    Well I have been told they fight it off. But when my yellow tang & hippo tang got it I used ICH-X in a qt tank I set up. Did that for 1 week BAM! ich free lol
    You can try that just take out every fish that has spots and treat them, Good Luck :)

    They do eventually grow some degree of immunity, but there's nothing surefire about that, and it's only a 6 month deal if they end up with a full immunity.

    Even if you put them in a QT and killed the ich there, you (extremely likely) didn't get rid of the ich in your DT (if they were in there) because of the 1-month lifecycle nonsense. It's why nearly every article says to treat for however long, and keep the DT without any fish for 6-8 weeks.....

    I have kept a few bristletooth tangs over the years. IME, when a B tooth won't eat prepared foods, it usually does not live too long, even in a big enough tank with enough LR and room to support it's non prepared diet.
