    Where should you place a water flow pump in the tank? towards the top in the middle towards the bottom of the tank or does it even matter?

    i have a ten gallon with a koralia nano.

    you want balanced flow, you usually need a couple of these powerheads in anything bigger than a 10 Gallon tank, how big is your tank?

    it says koralia power head placement.. well he didn't mention powerhead but he did mention koralia did he not?
    also, i would suggest anyone that had a tank bigger than 10 gallons to have a couple of current sources, specifically koralia powerheads since he did mention it so the tank has balance flow.. you don't really have one powerhead in a tank bigger than 10G and expect to have balanced flow without detritus getting trapped in the back of the rockwork
    ANYWAYS, as i was saying, a koralia nano is not going to be good enough for a 10G, do you any other powerheads, or filters that produce current as well?

    maybe add like a maxi-jet400 or 600 just to get some more water flow in there. Is what i would consider, but i could be wrong on this.

    ya you definately want to avoid dead spots, so another source even from a mechanical filter would probably be enough... you'd want them pushing water from both sides of the tank for good water circulation and ideally you don't have them pointing in directions that will create a whirlpool for your fish, or they'll get dizzy :p i've always been told to kinda point them at each other for good random flow. also it helps if you get good turbulence on the surface of the water for gas exchange..

    Here is how I have mine;

    This is a 14 gal. and the Koralia is #1. The nano didn't quite give me what I wanted. Off to the left and slightly pointed up gives good surface aggitation and evenly distributed flow. I thought a pic would help.

    if your tank is a 10G, i would suggest running a koralia 1 from mid to bottom back left corner pointed across to the almost bottom right corner so it keeps the detritus from building up in the back.. then you want another powerhead probably from top right corner running across to the top left corner in the front.. that will keep your flow balanced.. koralia nano can do the job.. or what you can do is do what unclejed did and have a koralia towards back mid top and shoot it towards the front glass which will spread the flow out evenly

    that sounds good. I have my nano placed on the top right of the tank towards the top to also get some agitation
