    is 2 of them enough for a 72 gallon tank?
    this Will be a fish only with live rock tank when it is all ready

    yes two k 3's would be ok for your 72.

    I might go 2 K4s for good movement. Depends how much live rock you have.

    I have 2 K4s in my 90, and it's more than enough.

    Got ya, if you end up with half the or more filled with rock i would go with 2 #4s. More flow and current the better. In my 55 gal. I have a #4, #3, #2 and a nano plus the two return nozzles.

    i have a question about cycling. i have read that people put a shrimp into the tank and let it rot.

    what kind of shrimp is it? is it ready to eat cocktail shrimp? or is it uncooked raw shrimp with shell on?
