750 GPH powerhead hooked up to their wave maker.

Placed in a new Hammer coral today and was admiring it starting to open when suddenly I saw something on the bottom..it was the bump stop that literally broke off. This is was ordered a little over a week ago. Koralia is now running in reverse, other one is fine..glad I caught it.

Notify Koralia cust. service. This is a known issue, and they will send you replacement parts free.

    Bump stop, got a picture?

Sometimes, I have to umplug/plug in my koralias to get to go forward again.

I just did, thanks! I hope they sent me quite a few replacements so this won't happen and me get stuck in the water (pun intended)

If you have to do that then your bump stop is missing or wore out. I'm on a wave Controller that pulses two alternately for 5 seconds

Does that go on the end of the impeller shaft?

I'm not high tech enough to have a wave maker, I'm waiting a bit to get the wp40, comes with one.

And I certainly agree, the power head/fan should NOT run backwards!

No, it goes inside of the front face plate of the pump. My wave maker is Koralias, just two knobs, really simple. I'm actually receiving a Vortech MP10W ES today :):eek::);):cheesy:;D

You would think they would have something that's not a plastic piece to make it not run backwards.

Here's a google pic for reference, notice it the thing inside the front cap?

I'm so glad I didn't get a koralia again. Even years after having one that terrible sound it makes starting up is like grinding teeth.

Working normally, from my experience. Makes easy access to jam a feeding tube inside to get them running in the right direction. ;D

Todd, you didn't post my whole thread on the Evolutions fix.
That little strip of black plastic next to the superglue cures the problem forever. I got over 2.6 MILLION starts and stops out of two Evolutions 1400's with that little strip of plastic glued on the front.
I'll find the thread and post a link

    Here it is:
