Yeah I have a pair of evo 750 that I had runnin continuous for a while now. Never any real problems they are he new ones I made sure of it but they would still reverse if I unplugged them so I could clean them the cover bumper and bushings were all fine but they would still reverse. When I got the smart wave a month or more back they would occasionally reverse so I played with them so only one had the issue the other was just fine... Most o the time they would click an humming but I didn't care so Lon as they worked. So recently, last week the unit that reversed broke he stopper off the front cover the noise woke me up in the middle of the night! Sent hydor a message two days later they replied asking to an address before I received the email the othe one broke in the same place... Covers are a little cheap but asked for a few so here's hoping for 12 lol.

Thinking about converting my mj1200 over to the powerhead mode till the replacements come...

Typed on my illiterate iPod touch which auto corrects the words spelled correctly but clearly misses everything else!!! What is this applemaps??

Getting the new covers free just to clarify!!

I was at a Whole seller show in September and I talked to the people from Hydor and they said putting the wave maker on a pulse/alternate mode shorter than 1 minute is the reason for the Koralias running backward or the clicking sound. It was also causing the rubber housing to fail prematurely also. But he did say that they do send replacement parts but if you are going to run them especially the magnums that to run them longer than 1 minute.

I got a second reply today they're sending me four covers sweet!
It takes like two business days for them to reply to you. They do reply it just takes time.
So I tried to use my mj1200 as a powerhead with it's big ole impeller... Not to be used on a wavemaker... EVER!!! The only two times I let it start up it was scary rattled with a terrible might and the supplied ball joint can't even come close to holding that beast up in any solid position. It was very powerful for those two bursts nut never again lol that's a continuous or nothing kind of powerhead lol. I think once I give my biopellet reactor another vinegar bath I'll return it to it's rightful service as a pump for that.

Or maybe I'll get off my butt and actually design that ATS I've been musing over for a year now.
