im thinking of buying Koralia Evolution powerhead. i have a 75g reef tank and currently i have 1 powerhead running and it is 1300gph. i feel that it is not enough alone for my tank. i have another 1300gph powerhead but it is noisy and when i turn it on the current is way too strong. so i was thinking about 2 options:
1- get a 1400 koralia evolution and get rid of the 2 powerheads that i have
2- get a 1050 koralia evolution in addition to the 1300 that i have
please let me know what you think. my problem with the powerheads that i have is that the flow is too concentrated i have problem placing them in the tank w/o blowing something away.
    thanks

I have 2 evo 14s, 1-old koralia 2, and a maxi jet 1200, plus my mag 9 I tuned back a little for flow in my 75 and it seems to be great. I would try to bounce your flow off the glass or off some of the rock work. Also what kind of powerhead is the 1 you have already?

it is a cheap sunsun i think i got 2 of those used with the tank. 1 is fairly quiet but the second rattles a lot.
i tried to point it at the glass but it blew off the sand

You should buy an evo 14 install it, disconect the other one and see what the flow looks like.I thought a 14 was going to be to much for my 75 but the flow pattern was so nice that I went back to get another one.

wow i think its never enough with the water flow in a reef. i just ordered the 1400. the frags that i got like the low to medium flow but im sure that some day i wont be able to resist buying a coral requiring high flow.
