I have a 10g mixed reef. Right now I have 2 Koralia Nano 425 powerheards on a timer. I like koralia products (have their skimmer too, works fine). I like their small size, the amount of water flow I get from them (when they work), but I am just not having any luck. My pumps keep running in reverse, despite replacing the front covers. Their customer service is horrible and I want something new.

I'm looking for a different brand powerhead that will work like they're meant to. I want something with a good amount of flow, but small in size.

My first thought was Tunze, but I don't know.

    Suggestions are welcome.

That's a lot of flow for a 10! I'm interested in alternatives too.

I can't seem to find the overall dimensions of this pump. My main worry with most pumps is them being too intrusive to the display and thus distracting.

The koralalia's are great power heads, but they aren't great for intermittent use. I've got sicce power heads on wave maker timer and they are totally quiet and are designed to run like this. I don't know that they make one as small as the koralia nano though, but that would be my recommendation. Much more affordable than tunze or mp10's

I was thinking the same thing; my 10 gallon only has one Koralia 240.

I'm with bicyclebill. I just replaced an Evo with a Sicce Voyager for the same reasons. Besides the cover issue, I have had three of them expand at the rubber covered shaft area like a football, causing them to not start at all. Not sure about the performance of the Voyager 1, but if at's anything like the larger models, it would be something to consider for the price.
