How big is your tank, you might have too much movement? I had two koralia 4's in my 55 gallon and that was way too much!

I think the placement is fine for now. What are you planning on keeping in the tank? The amount of flow and the arrangement of the flow should ultimately just be designed around what you want to keep. Right now with 2000gph of flow in there it's probably good for most things although maybe on the low end for SPS.

These are some things I'm considering for flow in my new tanks, take from it what you will. Koralia's are super easy to adjust so start with something and if it doesn't work for some reason, adjust it! :)

Good surface agitation for good gas exchange, helping to make sure the water stays oxygenated.
Enough flow to try and keep as much detritus suspended in the water as possible without being too much for some of my coral like frogspawn, or other lower flow coral. Or maybe I just need to find a low flow corner for the coral.
Trying to keep the flow as chaotic/random/variable as possible. Most coral do not like being blasted from one direction by water all day long.
Eliminate too many deadspots where water never really gets to in a current. This is sort of similar to settling detritus but just thought I'd mention it separately.
Balance everything, keep your coral/fish happy and help keep your tank/sand clean.

ST pretty much covered it. I think you have done well with your placement and choice of PHs. I have a 90g with two K-3s on one side and a K-3 and K-4 on the other. The K-4 is very powerful. I wouldn't suggest it for a 55g. Spread out the flow and lessen the dead spots.

Neither of you have too much movement GPH wise. The K-4s are a little heavy for a 55g though (IMO of course). Usually, for a 55g, I suggest four K-2s. That gives about 43x turnover right out of the starting gate. I aim for 50x. Personally, I run 51x in my 90.

Thanks for the responses. I plan on keeping just SPS.
