    Well its not the screen that changes the flow... the the other piece. The hlaf cone thing that originally would hold that screen. That half cone piece concentrates the flow into a stream. without it, its a wide dispersed flow.

    Try it with and without the piece and you will notice a big difference in the flow it gives
