Two weeks ago I was thinking of getting two koralia4s on a wave maker. I have come to the conclusion that I am better off getting the Ecotech mp40w than the koralia4s. About to order it, who else is using them on here and what do you think of them?

I love mine. Just wish I had another. I have a 6 ft tank and it just quite doesn't reach. Otherwise, thrilled.

Coolest thing I have bought for my tank I just ordered another one. If your tank is over 5ft I would suggest 2.

What size tank? I have a 3ft. 30 gallon and a MP10 is more than enough to make 3" waves and lift the sand off the bottom.

definately only one MP40. I put mine in my 45 and it threw waves out the top of the tank on the other side.

In the short time I have had mine, I have found them to be everything they are advertised to be. Amazing. Can't imagine having multiple pumps tied together.

As far as the money... well that is a subjective thing. They are very expensive water movers even if they are the best. Can't tell you if it is worth it for you.... but I can tell you it lived up to every bit of the billing.

What makes them so expensive? I just can't wrap my brain around why there are $300 more than the competition

The main thing is the power driver on the out side of the tank. then they come with a controller. So really they are just a little more. If you were saying you needed to korilian 4 and a controller now all you need is a mp40.

So the cost is not that much more if you look at all the pros it's worth the cost IMO
