Sounds like a good plan. Ill put him in the sea horse tank as soon as I confirm the water quality in there. Thanks for the input.

    hey Mike

how long was the DT without any fish, chances are if it was not deviod of fish long enough ( 6 - 10 weeks - opinions vary) then the ich is still present and this new fish and your old fish that have been put back would be expossed to it ( stress meaning they would be easy targets for any parasites still in DT)

Oops that sounds like the problem then. Stupid ick has plagued my tank since the beginning. Just went out for awhile now that Im back it looks like my cole tang has ick. What is the reef safe ick treatment. I dont want to pull them all out again.

You need to start feeding very closely not heavily but make sure the are fed. Sometimes there immune system will deplete and cause ick availibility and making sure you can target feed them a variety and maybe soak in selcon.

aw sugar ( its a family site)

Kick Ich is I believe the reef safe product that I have seen some good reviews for
but as with many things opinions on this vary in the extreme, some say it works and other say its reef safe and also parasite safe (it does not hurt either the corals/ inverts or the parasites)

you could try the enhanced feeding with Garlic and vitamins if they are eating well, they can build up immunity and fight off the parasite

there are no garuantees in this hobby though, different things have worked for different people

Uncle Jed - quote cut and pasted from another thread
Use a product called Marine-Max, all natural and works.
may also be worth checking out

Ok back into QT they all go. This time for 6 weeks. Im going to take the live rock out my my sea horse tank and treat with malachite green. I know its not as good as copper but it wont get in the sand and leech out later. This tank has to stay safe for my sea horses if its ever ready for them. Let the hide in the rocks games begin!!!!

Thank you. Im sure it will all turn out good. The koran might not make it through this one but the rest my fish are still looking strong. My tank system will be stronger after this.
