So i bought this Koran cause it looks wicked cool. Well I didn't know he's of the large species. I have a 75g with live rock. I do have 2 chromis and 2 clownfish but I am thinking bout gettin rid of the chromis. Do you think my angelfish will be fine in my tank?

As long as you are not keeping any corals in the tank all will be fine . And I assume you know the wicked cool looks will fade from the circular pattern of color stripes as it matures to a faded gray off coloration

I would have to say if he is small now it will be ok but eventually he will need a larger tank as Koran's can grow up to about 15in. So he will be fine for a while but as he starts to grow he will need larger accomodations. I wouldn't trust them in a reef setup either so if you plan on adding coral be careful as angels have a tendency to nip. Not trying to be rude so don't take this the wrong way, but you should try and research things before you buy them to save yourself headaches down the road. Just some friendly advice.

Koran's are a great first large angel, and I think they are attractive as adults as well as juvs. They do get big, and if it lives, it will outgrow your tank. I never thought I'd like the large angels as much as I do. I have three now - an emperor, blue face and blue spotted angel, all in a 210.

here's a good picture of an adult Koran:

I've had a Koran in my 75 for about 8 months now. He's in there with a hippo, 4 chromis, YT damsel, maroon clown, engineer goby, and a bunch of sps frags and a leather. All is ok, but he did eat a sponge I stupidly put in there (20 dollar snack!)

Should be fine as long as you feed him well

Well we're probably all on terrorist watchlists now, so I'd like to say hello to the federal agencies, and advise all of you that you need saltwater fish tanks in your front lobbies! ;D

I was wondering why I hear a click whenever I pick up the phone.
