im using .75" braided vinyl. I have one T with a 90 on each return. I still get alot of current out of them. i would guess 5ft head. Its enough that i switch from my jet accelerator output to my regular loc line outputs.

I got a mag 7 for 25 bucks. I plan on using pvc(like things neat and straight) so i'll need a t and a two 90's(one each end). I had planned on using a 1"return pipe. I am think mag 9 minimum maybe even a mag 12?

Even after a decade in the hobby i don't have a good grasp on flow.... Something thats tough to learn on forums. I know Vortech is the way to go!

I have a couple good pumps that move water well. I also have a Reef Angel controller. Im going to try some random flow settings and seee what comes up. I'll keep you informed!

Flow baffels me alot. Im picking up on it fast though now. If this doesn't work out how i want it to with random chaotic flow im going Gyre type flow (in a circle then switch)
