Okay this is going to be my dedicated build thread where I will ask questions because I assume I'll be having a lot, this is going to be a very slow build probably no drastic things until probably April. Until then I will be gathering parts and drawing up plans for what I'm doing as well as doing all the things that I can do such as building the custom sump that I plan on making ( pictures later) buying all the necessary equipment. Now you may be asking what it will take so long, well next year my father plans on renovating a lot and when we renovate the laundry room that's when it will happen and hopefully I'll have everything prepared by then and the set up will take only roughly a weekend, that's what i'm planning for but how often does it ever actually happen? haha. The pictures uploaded are what will happen during the renovations the tank will be rotated 90 and put on the adjacent wall and the hot water tank will be moved into the corner so its out of the way, the shelving if we keep it will be moved down with it and then an opening behind the tank for all the equipment, I will be switching out an empty breaker on the circuit box for a 40 amp gfi breaker and will be solely for tank related stuff. Thoughts? :)

Okay so over the weekend I've been debating whether or not to go steel or stay wood, the pros of going with steel is that it takes up less space is more roomier than wood plus imo it looks better and cleaner. Also another big pro is my girlfriends father is a welder by profession and he works 2 weeks on 1 week off, and he hates not having anything to do so I might be able to get him to weld it together for little to nothing :). I just for back from a couple local steel fabricators and the cheapest I have is 150/24' length which works out to be roughly 6.50/foot. I don't know about down your way but that seems pretty good to me might be able to find cheaper. The steel is ASTM A500 grade C and from what I gathered is the stronger in its category in terms of strength and its capacity to bend which I think is a good thing? Just wondering if anyone who works with steel will know if this will work thanks :)!
