Laptops - What do you have? What should I get?

I went shopping around at Best Buy yesterday (ugh, my work uniform for the TN Aquarium completely matches their uniform...it was disturbing. I'm really glad no customers asked me questions)

I'm really liking the HP Pavilion. They only had one gateway...and it was gigantic. I looked at an HP Pavilion with an AMD Turion X2 Ultra Dual Core Processor, 4GB DDR2 memory, 400gb hard drive, 14 inch screen, only 5 pounds (the gateway was seven or seven and a half), and 1 year parts/labor. All for around $730 best buy price. We wrote down the model number to try and shop around for that style some more...I really liked it. I kind of want to go with a Turion processor rather than Intel because I've never experienced one before, and they sound cool Oh and it has an ATI 3200 Radeon graphics WITH graphics memory. So, if I ever need that, it'll be there I guess

 

Those are neat. The desktop version is pretty wicked... as long as it fits your application... for working with a lot of images, that touch desktop is da bomb.

Yes, the price will drop next year by this time. I would also expect a price break this year around black friday...

 

loooooooove my hp, also i think someone mentioned them having sucky customer service but i've never had anything but good experiences, they have this free online chat, for ANYTHING that goes wrong. much faster then calling, very convenient when u notice you have a lid closing issue at 3 am, and ur freaking out....lmao i would recommend you get it a best buy AND buy the geeksquad insurance, for 3 years. its pricey but the peace of mind is GREAT.
