I cut all the teeth for the chambers on the table saw

when I did my freshwater leak test I found a small leak on the back panel about 3'' from the bottom. I cut 1/2'' x1/2'' acrylic strips to glue into the corners of the bottom and up both sides of the back

I hope this stops the leak.
I glued the chambers together one section at a time. I was sure to add a deflector to rout the water thru the chamber. In other words the water just doesnt flow into the chamber thru the teeth and out the other side over the teeth. The deflector will assure the water passes thru the chamber before it passes into the next chamber.

You can see the black marker gives you the deflector hight for each chamber. Some may call it a bubble trap. But the bubbles are not why I did this. Without these the water would just pass over the chamber

The bracing on the top of the tank is going to be an issue

You could start a business. :) How much does it cost you to build ththe AIO 70g? What kind of blade are you using on the saw to cut the acrylic?

I dont think I could make any money at building tanks. That would be nice. The blade is a Freud 80 hook tooth laminate blade. I think it was around $80. It does cut nice. I like to run a cabinet scaper over the cut edge before I weld the acrylic together

    Before the scaper

    After the scaper

This is what the scraper produces

I am willing to take orders. Can I build you one? LOL

I didnt think the filter chambers needed to be as tall as the tank, so I built them at 12'' tall, also that gave me plenty of room under the chambers to connect the return area.

    This is what I have in mind,(less the 4 X 4s
The chamber is 5 1/2'' wide so I will need to glue a piece of acrylic to both sides of the tank to make it easy when I glue the divider wall on

What I had in mind is really simple compared to what you have shown, but mine will be a pico for dwarf seahorses.

I want the tank to be 16" L x 12" W x 12" tall. 4" of the length is supposed to be the built in fuge. I'll have to draw up a picture of what I want.

That would be a 10gal tank with the filter area being 3.3gal. Have You thought about getting a 10gal glass tank on CL and adding some acrylic dividers?

I had thought about that. It would be pretty simple, but I guess I was appealed to the framless tank. Lol. Thanks for the idea. I'll look around.

Here is a few pics of one of the 20gal AIO's I built. I found it hard to keep the tank stable with such a low vol. of water.

I made the chambes adjustable so the water levels were right when the media and skimmer was in place and running

BTW I grew up in NE Ohio, Near Youngstown. It wouldnt cost much to make that size of tank. I could give you what you want. Instead of settling for what is out there. If you could draw it up I could give you a price.
