    Hey all,

As always thanks for all the help that you have provided over the course of the last two years in my Reef Tanks Endeavors.

I have a huge Toadstool Leather that when its puffed out is maybe 12-14 inches wide and maybe 14-18 inches tall. As you can guess it takes up a good 1/4th or so of my tank.

My question is can I just cut it out at the base where its attached to the rock? The reason I ask is I want to move it to my other tank but it is attached to my rock and I really don't want to reaquascape it all just to move it.

With that being said... Will the man part of the Toad Stool reattach and grow a new base to attach to another rock, and Will the left over base attached to the rock grow a new Toad Stool?

    Thanks,
    Cole

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
Yes and yes. You can use fishing line and such to attached it to the new spot or just simply wedge it firmly and it will attach over a couple weeks.

When I cut it off should i leave 1 inch more or less of a stub or does it not really matter?

You will probably get a bigger frag with a base of about an inch.

I have used very sharp scissors and just made one big cut. Both pieces looked ugly for about a week or two. I found good flow to the area helps.

I have never been able to completely remove a toadstool. They have always regrown. The removal of the rock is the only way that I know of.
