I believe there was a tiger shark kept at the Baltimore Aquarium, although it may have been the Camden aquarium.

The whale shark is technically the largest. While it may not fall into the classic predatory shark profile we think of (eating surfers and such) it does hunt a small animal and will eat fish if they are unlucky enough to get sucked in.

I read an article recently about an aquarium that is trying to keep great whites. the problem with them is they are a more migratory animal. They don't stay put in an area for long periods of time and need more room to swim and hunt.
