Just bought my last MH bulbs today! (3) Hamilton 175w 20K bulbs @ LFS for $49 each! Had two in stock and ordered me my 3rd. Couldn't find them for less the $60 when I got home on the net. Nice deal. Going to install the first (2) tomorrow.

Going LED after these are cycled.

Very nice score on the Mh.

I am still having problems going to the LED side.

I couldn't help myself. Put them in and I'm running them for an hour for a break-in. They are SO much brighter! I had some Reef Grow 15K's in there place before. So much more glimmer now.

No kidding. I would have much rather spent the $160+ on something else.

So I got a deal on a Ushio bulb today, 20k same as my Hamiltons, way less blue. Just odd IMO. Another down side, the ring around the bottom of the bulb creates some shade. Time for a new reflector.

It is certainly difficult to move away from something as proven as metal halides. On the other hand, It is nice to not worry about bulb changes.

I am 100% LED and have been for 3 months now. My acros have never grown this fast for what its worth (once they got over the initial bleaching). And my electric bill is down too.
