If your talking about the back glass, I would use latex, no need for the rust proof.imo

The color depends on you, most ppl choose a lite blue. I personaly like a plain back glass and let coraline algae and corals grow all over the back.

I would have to say ext. b/c of the possible water contact, but Im not an expert on painting the back glass. You may want to wait for someone who has more exp. than me on this topic. Luna

Use the oil based Laytex will not hold up to salt for any long periods .. Look at a painted wall where salt gets the paint buckels and blister's right off. I like the RustOlum paints Royal Blue or Bbalck depends on what color overflows I have on hand or am asked to make.. Just use a cheap roller apply two to three coats and toss the roller.. I wrape mine in plastic wrap between coats or a zip lock bag will work also..

Check out my tank thread in my signature (pics are on there too), I did what Tangster recommended to a T and it worked out great!! Royal Blue Rustoleum, used a 9" roller, 2 swipes on either side and done!!! 2 coats worked for me, you will just have to see how it covers. I cleaned the glass with vinagear water real good then sprayed some windex on a paper towel and wiped it down again real good. I think the process I used is posted on my thread. It worked for me!
